PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Dear School Community,

Term 3 has started and the first four weeks are behind us. I would like to share some of the latest developments with you.

We held our second Parents and Friends Association meeting two weeks ago at the La Trobe University. It was a very fruitful meeting and we shared many ideas that could make our school even a better one. I would like to thank you for your continuous support. Below are the parents elected for some of the required roles.

Soccer season is going well with our 4 teams. We are approaching the end of the season. I ask parents to bring their children on time and notify the coaches of any absences. We are also going to participate in a one-day tournament with the Under 8 and Under 10 team on September 14th. We do training once a week. In November, there will be another tournament for 35-Over category. I am eager to form a team with parents and be part of it. If interested, please contact me for further information.

We organised our annual Qurban Campaign in collaboration with the Australian Relief Organisation (ARO) over the last two weeks. We are aware that Qurban is a time where humans shred a heart of greed and selfishness, and fulfil it with beauty. We all participate in a very profound cause – understanding, giving and helping the poor and needy. We believe that as a school community and with our collective efforts we can make a significant difference in the lives of those less fortunate! The donations collected from the 2019 Qurban Campaign will be sent to Asia Pacific.

I also want to introduce a new staff member who joined us this term. Mrs Ashu Bilkhu is our new Student Support Coordinator. I wish her success and joy at our campus.
